25 lbs. From my Goal!

Hey guys! Yep, that's right. My ticker says that I'm only 25 lbs. from my goal! I'm so excited. I know it will take a while to get there, ( I *only* lost 0.2 lbs. this week, but hey, I'll take that!)but it is so gratifying to see what looks like a manageable amount of weight left to lose. Someone at my WW meeting tonight got their Lifetime Membership Certificate. How cool is that! I had never seen someone reach lifetime before, so it was inspiring.

I decided to sign-up for Deep Water Aerobics again. (Thanks for your comments.) It doesn't start until July 9th, which is a bummer, but I think I made the right decision. I'm still going to check out the swim club, but I really enjoyed water aerobics and I missed it.

I was talking with my therapist and she asked me what other bloggers felt about their self-esteem related to weight-loss when they are going through stressful periods, like looking for a job. She seems to think that it is possible that the reason why I'm not enjoying my weight loss more is because I am facing all kinds of rejections during my job search. What do you guys think?

I haven't been exercising lately, and I've been feeling lousy. Tomorrow I am DEFINITELY going to do my CardioSculpt DVD in the morning. No excuses! I've got 25 lbs. of motivation :)

I’m not really aware of my self-esteem when stressed. I do know that when I’m stressed I rely on food to keep me energized and I stop trying to lose weight. For me, I would be losing the self-esteem from the rejects. Rejection is tough! But it happens to the best of us. This is primetime for job searching, so the market is probably over-saturated. So hang in there.

Congrats on reaching your milestone! You’ve achieved so much!

congrats on your loss and for being only 25 pounds from goal! what an awesome feeling! :o)

i know from personal experience, that once i don't exercise for a few days - i start to feel like crap... i'm sure the stress of looking for another job has affected a lot of things but doing small things (like your DVD) will help you feel better... :o)

Way to go on your loss, trixie! Woohooo. 25 pounds left to go aweseome. I can't wait till i get to your weight now, you are an inspiration.
Yeah, I agree w/ the therapist. Taking rejection from employers is really hard, it was hard for me when I was looking. Things will go your way soon enough. Keep trying, it takes a while sometimes.

I do miss the wt watchers and seeing others progress and motivation/inspiration but it is working on my own for now.

Wow! Only 25 more pounds to go? That's incredible. I am so very happy for and proud of you. You've done 25 twice over by now, so you know what you need to do.

And good thinking on signing up for deep water aerobics again. Smart.

You are really an inspiration to me. Seriously.

I think your therapist has a point about stress and weight loss, particularly job search. It is a very stressful time, and I don't know about you, but I took it really personally when I sent out resumes and wasn't hearing back from people right away (or at all)! It really affected my self esteem.

I know the right job will come along, though. And in the meantime, just think about how much you've accomplished, not just with your weight loss (which I think is one of the hardest things to do) and your education/degree.
