So, I "ran" again today on the treadmill. I felt a little more confident when I started, but it was actually a little harder to breath for the first 10 minutes than it was during my first "running" workout. It got easier as I stuck with it. And another woman came into the gym and started running on one of the other treadmills. I thought it was going to make me self-conscious, but instead it was nice to try to keep pace with her. I think I did my best when I was running "with" her. I'm sure her speed was set faster than mine, but it still made me feel somewhat like a real runner :) (I know, I'm getting ahead of myself!) I am definitely going to do it again on Saturday or Sunday, depending on my work schedule at AT. I got some good advice about inclines and shoes from a girl I see at my WW meetings. It also gave me an excuse to strike up a conversation - I've been wanting to talk with her because she is close to goal too and I wanted to know how she feels about it. I guess that would have been reason enough to talk with her. I just get shy sometimes. I know, shocking! :)
P.S. I'm 0.6 lbs. from goal!
It would be great if I could make Lifetime before I move to Vegas, but I think that is a little unrealistic. Actually, I haven't figured it out if it's even possible. I'll let you all know.

HOLY CRAP!! .6 pounds from your goal?!?!?!? CONGRATULATIONS!!! And go YOU for the running!!! I am so impressed and motivated. (and BOY do I need some motivation right now!)
So are you moving out to Vegas for sure?
Would you consider sharing the advice you got, particularly about inclines? I have recently moved to a hilly area from a prairie-flat area, and it really makes a difference -- even walking! I have been lurking on your site for a while now, but I'm not having any success with my weight loss. I feel so disenchanted -- I exercise at the gym about 4 days a week, and can't possibly get there more often than that, I don't know what else to do to lose weight. I thought if I could walk/jog/run around my neighbourhood, it would help me build in an extra exercise day or two -- and it really is beautiful here, so I would love to try it -- but it is all uphill! Any helpful advice you discover would be encouraging.
Thank you.
And, a big congratulations to you! I think what I find most inspiring is that you are so close that most people would say, "close enough, I'm done", but you are saying, "I'm nearly there, but I have to keep at it".

Oh my gosh! I got so excited when i saw how close you are to your goal... Congrats and what is one thing you would say has contributed the most to your success. Reading that made my day and encouraged me to continue doing well today.
Keep Pushing Play
