So, to get myself back on the right track I went to the Weight Watchers website and recorded my points for the day, the points I earned from going to the gym today, and my past 6 weeks of weigh-ins. It made me feel better to see how many flex points I still have for the week. I'm nervous about Friday night. I'm going out with a big group of friends for drinks and dinner. I'm trying to plot what I'm going to order. Do you ever feel self-conscious when you order healthy food and you feel like people are expecting you to order something bad for you?
I wanted to share some helpful reminders I got from a bookmark I got at my WW meeting last week. It's called "Use the Tools" and its good thoughts to replace the negative ones we all have running through our minds:
- Winning Outcomes: "What do I want?"
- Empowering Beliefs: "I can and I'm worth it!"
- Anchoring: "Remember when!"
- Storyboarding: "What's my next step?"
- Mental Rehearsing: "Practice! Practice! Practice!"
- Motivating Strategy: "What's my reward?"
- Reframing: "What does that get me?"
- Positive Self-Talking: "I am what I repeat"
- Asserting: "I need you to ______ because ..."
- Switching: "I can see the new me!"
I hope everyone is having a great week. I also wanted to tell everyone that I'm having problems leaving messages on "non-beta" blogs. I switched to the beta version of Blogger and now I can't post to "non-beta" blogs. I wish Blogger would have told me this before I agreed to switch. So, I am thinking of you and hoping for the best for you!

Oh, you can post... you just have to select "other" and then type in your username and website from your non-beta blogger account.
I switched to Beta and I'm having the same issue, but if you choose "other" it shows up as a link just like the pre-beta days.
Hi Trixie, sounds to me like things have been a bit hard lately. Remember, just because we are large doesn't mean that we can't have a good time too! And it sure doesn't mean we can't enjoy good food and drink.
You mentioned planning what to order when you go out on Friday...you can't constantly let other people influence the choices you make. It reminds me so much of where I used to be at. I used to order healthy stuff when people were with me, or avoid what I really wanted to have. Then later when other people weren't around I would tear into all the things I had been denying myself and was craving! I now realise I would be better off just having what I wanted at the time and doing so normally...not bingeing.
Now I try and eat well most of the time, and realise that I wont be doing that all the time. If I am out and about and want to drink, then I do. If I want to eat out, then I do. I eat whatever I feel like eating based on what there is available at the time, so that I have something really good and enjoy the moment. After that it is simply a matter of keeping up with the training and continuing to eat well most of the time.
I really hope that you have a good time on Friday and put the recent trails behind you and keep going with your mission.
I am really wondering why they introduced Beta at all - it is causing so many problems - for a while non-Beta people couldn't post on Beta accounts. Now - we can - but we have to type in our user name - it doesn't pop up automatically. I have had people tell me they were having problems posting on my blog too.
I have noticed your name on Angry Fat Girlz before. I too was a Trixie Belden fan - I think I noticed that someone has picked up writing them and there are actually more out now. This happened with the Box Car Children too.
I saw your name on AFG, stopped by here this morning on a whim, read your current posting, and ended up staying to go back to the beginning and read all the way through. You and I started our blogs the same month!
I am sure writing has helped you keep your focus and you get great comments to help you too.
I did want to tell you that you never know who else you impact when you write - give someone a little boost or raise their spirits. I stayed and read during the getting the kids ready for school time, when I wanted to graze the refrigerator and pantry this morning. Not one extra bite - except for the planned breakfast - so you helped me out - just by being you.
THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!!!!
I know exactly what you mean about feeling self concious ordering healthy food, like people think you're doing it for show when you're really trying to eat healthy.
Beta seems to have a lot of kinks, but that is one I hope they get figured out soon.
